The Garden is fully landscaped, lawned and has a wide selection of interesting
trees, shrubs, bulbs & perennial flowers.
It is divided into three sections by wooden fences, trellis and metal gates.
There is a rotory drying line and quality bespoke garden hut outside the
back door, a larger grassed area at the rear of the house onto which the
French door opens and a small front lawn with heathers and a selection of
small trees, compact shrubs and flowers.
There is very little exposed soil - borders have been covered with weed barrier
material overlain by a good layer of ornamental bark to keep garden maintenance
to a minimum.
The rear areas face south & southeast catching most of the day's sun.
The grass was laid with turf and has established into lush, largely weed
and moss free, lawn.
Pathways and steps are all neat slate style slabs.
All gravel around the house is attractive golden quartzite to match the wall
colouring. We believe this is sourced near Loch Lomond. This gravel costs
five times the normal grey type. All gravel is underlain with weed barrier
material.
There are external lights above the front door, at the double garage doors,
beside the side garage door & back door plus on each side of the French
door.
The smooth tarmac driveway at the front of the house offers plenty of space
to park two cars, three when the additional gravel area is used.
The exterior of the upstairs windows have been finished in a particularly
attractive light coloured hardwood.
Around the house are five external ornate lantern style lights - at garage
doors, garage side door, backdoor and two at the French window. Additionally,
there are two street lights on the pavement outside the back garden offering
additional night illumination. |
